Statistically one of the most commonly set goals in the world is one to "get into shape." I've talked many times about the need and how to stick with and accomplish goals. One thing I have come to a realization about is that the goal itself needs to be a motivating one. When a person just wants to "get into shape," or "lose a few extra pounds," it transforms into a goal of perspective. Human nature now days is that to find the easiest way possible to complete activities and justify our minimal progress. When the goal itself is something that can't be diminished it creates not just an achievement in mind, it creates a map to follow and a pattern to learn from.

I have been struggling with this particular part, I continue training, my bodyweight training is good and I am staying in shape, but I find it more difficult to find motivation to push into a higher range or push myself beyond my current capacities mainly because I don't know what to apply it to. So what can I do, I could make excuses and say I don't have the time to give to my sport, or that I don't need to train any harder. But this drive has to come from within. I find gyms that offer a day free, I locate the nearby parks to my work and take short lunches to squeeze in my training. Excuses, no matter how valid, only weaken a person. And following this path is not for the weak, it is for becoming stronger.

Being sick all last week was a bit of a struggle, but I was able to make some needed progress on a big project that is making way. One of the biggest things that I need to do now is just find a way to use my training. It isn't enough for me to just be strong or look good... No, I need to use it for some kind of skill that can inspire others to take up this way of life.
