We've all heard this phrase if you have any experience in the fitness industry. Pretty much stating that from your first waking moment, you need to grind out the results your working for. It doesn't come easy. It's something that with every kind of training you must learn, accept, and overcome.

Recently I have been experiencing a necessity to truly rise and grind. With my new venue and clients, I am up at 4am in order to prepare properly for the day ahead of me. This includes the plans for my clients, my own personal training, and dealing the day to day projects for my family. Preparation takes time to accomplish appropriately. Never take for granted the benefits of properly planning for your day or week. The monstrous advantage that it adds to your efforts is near irreplaceable.

Your tip for today is to take a little time at night to prepare for your tomorrow. Start creating a schedule, a calendar, an agenda, something that will let you see beforehand what sort of preparation you need to do. Making sure you get your meals, time to accomplish your work, train, even time to relax, learn something, and remembering the little things that require your attention. With preparation you will become 100x more effective and successful. Do it and reap your rewards!

Today is full steam ahead for Ironman training. about 15 weeks out from race day, it is the perfect time to get some good volume and speed endurance development in all 3 aspects. This week, prepare for some longer intervals, something that pushes you beyond your race pace and limits your recovery. This will build your lung base and let your muscles know that you have an extra gear to put some distance between you and the guy next to you. Take a few weeks to apply this through the swim, bike, and run.
Also, don't forget your weight training. I am going into a hybrid HIIT and Volume based program to help strengthen some muscle, burn some fat, and increase my strength endurance.

It's time to get after it!
