Much like the transitive property of mathematics, fitness and athletics also has some transitive properties. The difference between Math and Sports, is that these transitive qualities can have a drastic influence on the way you live your life.

First things first: Training makes you more confident. Studies have shown that working out doesn't just build muscle, but also enables the secretion of certain hormones that effect a person's self perception and self-esteem. Even light and semi-consistent training can have a noticeable effect in the way that you think of yourself. Also as people reach goals in the gym, this inspiration bleeds into their personal and professional lives helping them have more confidence in their own abilities and possibilities to succeed.

Second: Training can actually make your brain work better. Seriously... it may seem like a stretch, but again, there are studies that have shown that working out can improve your brain's abilities. As your work your muscles, they engage certain neuro pathways that require impulses that originate in the brain and then connect to the muscles being worked. As these pathways are used more and more often, the brain makes adaptation to make these impulses more and more efficient, by myelinating the nerves, collecting more nutrients for Action Potentials, etc. In doing this, your brain coincidentally improves the pathways used in cognitive production and efficiency.

Third: Training involves a lot of aspects and requires skills that are often looked very highly upon in the professional realm. Working Hard, Self-Discipline, Goal Oriented, Leadership, Perseverance, etc etc. These things you develop as you stick with programs to their end, you obtain the results that you want and you develop qualities that people want in their professional areas, be it business, medicine, technology, gastronomy... You pick it.

There isn't an area in the world that training on the side wouldn't help you become better at. Being a beast in the gym doesn't just make you a muscle head, If you apply the strength you gain in the gym to other aspects of your life, you will see some serious domination occur in these areas. It's amazing the kind of improvements that have taken place in many people's lives as they began to get in better shape, to accomplish fitness goals, or even just play in a local league of a sport that they have always loved.

People often complain that they don't work out or train because of a lack of time and that they have other more important things to do. If only they understood the transferable effects that this particular investment can have on their lives! It doesn't have to be a burden to run 2 miles a day... it doesn't have to eat away at your time keeping you from other activities. Rather, this can be something that improves the quality of the other activities that you strive to accomplish. That's the meaning of taking advantage of these Transitive Properties of Being a Beast!
