Let's say you want to start a business. You're going to provide a service for the people of your community. Starting a new business is a complicated, long process that requires an investment of time and resources to establish a place that can provide the service you want to give in a satisfactory fashion. Now, let's say you need to put in at least $10,000 dollars to get off the ground and get by if sales are high enough, but if you put in $20,000 you will have enough to get up a running, cover your butt just in case and even provide some extra promotion. On paper, it's obvious that you would want to invest the $20,000 and just do things right. However we all know that it's not just what's on paper that makes your decisions. Sometimes taking that extra leap isn't as easy, no matter how worth it the end result will be.

Your health and fitness requires investments to progress and improve as well. Many people preach the "minimum requirements" to maintain a healthy lifestyle. When did the minimum requirements ever produce adequate results? Losing weight, gaining muscle, improving performance... Changing your life requires time, intensity and work! In our modern society driven off the idea of being entitled to the things we want, the minimum effort is where most people establish their limit and will do no more.

This math does not work: Getting something for nothing.

Nothing comes from nothing... that's the only possible result. Occasionally, things we experience stick with us, they follow us and create some substance in our lives. Typically however, who we are and what we become is a product of what we decide to put into ourselves. How much time are we giving to ourselves, how often are we training or exercising, how careful are we about what we eat and drink? As investments go, the size and significance of the investment largely determines the return. If you want minimum results, you will give a minimum effort. With minimal work, you cannot expect maximal results. You cannot get something for nothing!

Do the work, reap the reward and never step backwards!

Every Day... A Little Stronger
