Unfortunately every so often we have little set backs in life, and these things come at the most unexpected of times.  We spend our days working for or towards something just to have it put on delay due to an action performed by yours truly.  Well, this week I sprained my ankle, not a horrible sprain, but a sprain nonetheless.  So now I've been taking my workouts and running easy because honestly if there's one thing I have learned over the years competing in collegiate athletics, you need to listen to your body to ensure that you don't get injured.

I can honestly say that one of the hardest things when training is to have to take time off... being forced by unfortunate happen stance to not be able to persue the thing I desire to accomplish. It gives a feeling of becoming stagnant.  One thing I will say though about experiences like this is the effort and discipline learned from overcoming the hardships brought on by life.  It's a true statement that Patience and Discipline is brought from struggle and grief, and in my opinion patience and discipline are some of the most important tools to become and stay successful!

It has been boring in all honestly taking it easy on my ankle, The saddest part was I was playing soccer trying to work on the skills that I am needing to improve to reach my goals, a bit ironic, but it's part of the game.  So after the weekend I will be back at phase 3!  A nice development in regards to my workout routine, I now have some colleagues that want to get involved and start spreading the system around.  They have seen significant enough improvements on my ideas that it now seems of interest to try and refine! I'm pretty excited to see how it works with other people of different disciplines as well.

A step back is only as deterring as one wants it to be!
