I'm going to start this one out with a question. Why do you train? you can replace "train" with exercise, condition, and whatever other synonym you want... but the question remains the same, Why do you do it?
Take some time and think about it.
You all came up with something, probably many had a similar answer to others, but in essence you all have individual reasons why you are active and continually exercise. Personally, I have been training for a very simple reason, I want to be the best person I can be. This cannot be accomplished with out physical exercise. I have ranted out this before, and I will again right now. We cannot live a truly balanced life if we do not balance ourselves in three BIG aspects of life, the Spiritual, the Physical, and the Mental. So without the physical exercise, I cannot be balanced, and to be balanced and the absolute best I can be, I train, I study, and I ponder.
Some recent tragedies struck some new inspiring thoughts into my soul as I contemplated these experiences. Life is a short journey, we can be balanced and good people, but WHY? it can be the most annoying question, but it can also be the most important. Why.... I want to be the best person I can be... and why is this? What is my end game to all the things that I do. What can possibly make the effort worth the fight? So I have come to a conclusion that we can't just live, we can't just do things to do them, we can't just have a desire to bench 450 lbs without having a good reason to accomplish it.
Make some goals, some that keep you on track for the moment, and also for the long push forward. make these goals have meaning so that they provide a certain substance to your life making the experience worth sharing to others. Get up and Train!
